This Privacy Policy explains how Eduzaar (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use the Eduzaar Android/iOS application and related services.
1. Information we collect
- Account: mobile number, name, email, education level, city/state, career goals.
- Documents: files you upload (e.g. certificates, identity documents). Sensitive identifiers such as Aadhaar are masked in the app where applicable.
- Applications & activity: service applications, saved colleges/scholarships, timeline and action-plan data.
- Payments: transaction references processed by Razorpay; we do not store full card/UPI credentials.
- Device & notifications: push notification tokens if you enable notifications (Firebase Cloud Messaging).
2. How we use information
- Authenticate you via OTP and maintain your session.
- Provide education search, recommendations, document assistance, and application tracking.
- Process payments for paid services and issue receipts/invoices.
- Send reminders about deadlines, applications, and account updates (with your consent where required).
- Improve app reliability, security, and support.
3. Legal basis & consent
We process data to perform our contract with you (providing the app), with your consent (notifications, optional profile fields), and where required by law. By using Eduzaar you agree to this policy and our Terms of Service.
4. Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We may share data with:
- Service providers: cloud hosting, SMS/OTP delivery, Razorpay payments, Firebase push.
- Partners/institutions: only when you submit an application or service request to them.
- Legal requests: when required by applicable law or to protect rights and safety.
5. Data retention
We retain account and application data while your account is active and as needed for legal, tax, and dispute purposes. You may request deletion as described below.
6. Security
We use HTTPS in transit, secure token storage on device, and access controls on our servers. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
7. Children
Eduzaar is intended for students and parents. Users under 13 should use the app with a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect data from children without appropriate consent.
8. Your rights
Depending on applicable law (including India’s DPDP Act where applicable), you may request access, correction, or deletion of your personal data.

9. Third-party links
The app may link to government portals, college websites, or partner services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.
10. Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
